- ½ punnet strawberries, washed first then hulled and roughly chopped
- 1 banana, optional
- 1 teaspoon honey, optional
- 1 cup water or milk or no-dairy milk such as almond/soy/rice milk
- 3 cubes of ice
Blend all the ingredients, pour into a jar, screw the lid on tightly and go!
The combination is endless: any fruit of choice or favour. Bear in mind that citrus may curdle if using yoghurt as a base. A tablespoon of smooth nut butter adds a touch of extra creaminess and nuttiness. Try cashew, almond, macadamia or even peanut! Tahini too!
Turn it into a lassi by adding spices such as powdered/crushed cardamom seed and a teaspoon of rose water!
